Tricia is a multidisciplinary artist whose work explores the human condition, societal norms, emotion, the subconscious, and the natural world. Working with clay, beeswax, tree resin, photography, and found materials, she incorporates environmentally sustainable methods and materials into her artistic practice.
hER sTORY
Tricia completed her master’s degree in Sculpture at Rome University of Fine Arts in Rome, Italy. She previously earned a Bachelor of Fine Arts from the University of Washington School of Art in Seattle. As the creator and owner of Art in Seattle, Tricia brings extensive experience as an arts educator, with a particular focus on ceramics.
Through KidsQuest Children’s Museum, Tricia worked as a teaching artist in Seattle-area libraries as part of a program supported by a National Endowment for the Arts grant. There, she taught a series of classes centered on exploring and sharing culture through clay.
Her most recent body of work, Becoming, is an introspective sculptural series developed over approximately seven months. The work explores questions of body, space, longing, and self-identity. Each sculpture begins with a cast of her own body, which she then transforms through layers of beeswax, tree resin, and pigment.
In spring 2026, Tricia was accepted for a two-month assistantship at La Meridiana International School of Ceramics in Tuscany, Italy. She continues to develop new projects that bring together her interests in material, transformation, human experience, and the natural world.
